Access Clinical Trials
Access Clinical Trials is a community of like minded physicians and
health care professionals dedicated to improving health and health
care by bringing clinical research trials to the patients in the
community where they live.
We believe that raising awareness and participation of clinical trials is
the most effective way to treat disease and that providing clinical
trials, in the community setting is key to the advancement of clinical
research.
No matter the diagnosis, treatment regimen or outcome, cancer
changes lives emotionally and physically. Our goal, by providing
community based clinical trials is to maintain quality of life for both the
patient and the caregiver while advancing the success of drug
development. "In other words, our objective is to find CURES."
Working together, we can accomplish this goal. We provide the
access to high-quality, evidence-based cancer care by keeping the
patient within the comfort of their homes, familiar physicians and
caregivers. This is the environment where the vast majority of
patients fight cancer and can now fight it more vigorously.
Our Goal in Cancer Care
Our physicians have the common goal of providing community- based
research that will ensure the highest level of care for the patient that
wants access to state-of-the-art treatment. Education and research
services provide support that is complemented by the experience and
success of our team. We provide the collection and delivery of timely
pristine data, trial acuity, clinical support, and data integrity in our
clinical trial management service.
Additionally we support:
- Identification of eligible patients for clinical trials
- Advocacy and Education of Clinical Trials
Our research is physician led and physician driven. Physicians
choose the trials in which they enroll their patients based on the
community they serve and the merit of the scientific question to be
answered by the clinical trial.
All patients who participate in our clinical trials are treated using the
traditional standard of care, plus the therapy being used in the trial. At
the very least, this means that the patient is being treated with what
would normally be used, plus the therapy on trial. By their
participation in the appropriate clinical trial, patients can advance
research and save lives.
